Our school is located in Ambler, Pennsylvania (just outside of Philadelphia) and is the sole high school of the Wissahickon School District. Our school is comprised of about 1500 students and over 100 faculty and staff members. For more information on our school, please see the school website. Our school district is also in the first year of a 1:1 computer initiative, titled "Wiss21," for students. For the first year of the program, 6th and 9th grade students were each given a laptop which they can use in and out of school. All of our 9th grade students are part of the "9th Grade Academy," which is a modified version of "teaming" that we use for all 9th grade students to help ensure a smooth transition from the middle school to high school.

We are currently doing the Genius Hour project with over 100 students in five 9th grade English classes. Our plan is to post some of the "high
lights" of the project, and to post students' perspectives while completing the project. So stay tuned!
